I am a singer/songwriter born in the ultimate of suburban towns, Loudonville, New York. When I was three my parents decided a rural life would be more fulfilling so we packed up and moved to Duanesburg, NY, a town lovingly referred to as “The Last Frontier”. Life was good and many, if not most, afternoons and evenings were spent listening to my Dad playing guitar and singing. Sometimes out on the porch and sometimes in our basement playroom with all the family gathered around. The latter was to be the place that my music career would begin. The first memory I have of me singing, is with my Father, in the basement, him playing guitar and me singing "I Will Always Love You." I was about four years old.
My elementary and middle school days were spent at Duanesburg Central Schools after which, I transferred to and graduated from, Albany Academy for Girls. The Academy, which catered to the “intellectual” student and strived to cultivate the less musical side of my brain, convinced me that my life’s passion was to be a “Marine Biologist” so off to Eckerd College in Florida I went. It only took one day, left stranded on a sand dune to do research and watching a dorsal fin come towards me, for me to realize MUSIC was my REAL passion!! MORE > |
